News Corp combines technology and digital teams naming Alisa Bowen CTO

News Corp has promoted Alisa Bowen to chief technology officer as the company combines its technology and digital teams into one business unit.

The changes have seen chief technology officer Tom Quinn depart the company after 11 years, with the technology team he managed being combined with Bowen’s digital team.

Bowen was previously the group director of digital product and development, a role she has held for nearly three years.
The technology team are responsible for News Corp’s internal platforms while the digital development team are responsible for external platforms, such as websites, mobile sites and apps.
