News Corp’s Dear Rachelle storms podcast charts

News Corp’s new true crime podcast Dear Rachelle has climbed up the Australian Podcast Ranker to land at number five, with over 700,000 downloads during April.

The podcast delves into the unsolved death of 23-year-old Rachelle Childs in 2001, and is hosted by investigative journalist Ashlea Hansen. Last month, the podcast sat at #47 in the charts.

Hamish and Andy has returned to the top of the Australian-made podcast charts, with over 1.5 million downloads for April. ABC News Top Stories fell to second place, after four months in the top slot, while Mamamia Out Loud and Shameless remain in third and fourth place, respectively.

Elsewhere in the top ten, It’s a Lot with Abbie Chatfield has fallen from fifth to sixth, while The Imperfects has dropped two spots to sit at #8.

Lower down, Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne’s Life Uncut plummeted six spots to land at #14, and Kyle and Jackie dropped three spots to #15.

The Squiz Today and Dan Does Footy both climbed three spots, to sit at #11 and #12, respectively, while The Guardian’s Full Story podcast has cracked the top 20, climbing three spots.
