News Corp’s missing millions

Dr Mumbo was not surprised that after News Corp posted a US$1.13 billion loss, its local national masthead The Australian was keen to find the positives and highlight the company’s 6% revenue gain – after all, Dr Mumbo himself always looks on the bright side of life.

In what Dr Mumbo can only assume is a typo though, The Australian has reported its News Corp overlords only recorded a net loss of US$1.13 million – which leaves Dr Mumbo and Darren Davidson with a missing $1,128,870,000.

Dr Mumbo can’t help but think News Corp would love to report losses of a mere US$1.13 million, but suspects Davidson’s error will be corrected soon.
