Nine cruises to weekly win thanks to State of Origin, Ninja and The Voice

A hat trick of hits for Nine has taken the network to an easy weekly ratings win.

Wednesday night’s State of Origin decider brought in an average metro audience of just over 2m for Nine, while The Voice grand final and launch episode of Australian Ninja Warrior both rated more than 1m.

Nine finished the ratings week with a primary total people audience share of 23.8%, ahead of Seven’s 19.5% and Ten’s 10.2%, The ABC was fourth with 9.6%.

Nine’s most dominant day was Wednesday, with a free-to-air share of 36.7%. Thanks to AFL, Seven was strongest on Friday when it pulled in a share of 25.1%.
