Nine expected to release results of cultural review today

Nine Entertainment will release the findings from the Intersection report, a third-party review into the cultural problems that have plagued the network.
Acting CEO Matt Stanton informed Nine staff that the report – commissioned in May by the Nine board and originally expected to be delivered in July – would be made public on Thursday afternoon.
“The review was a comprehensive process and represents an important step for us as we work to strengthen our workplace culture,” Stanton told staff an in email sent on Wednesday afternoon, claiming that the board and management had not yet seen the full report and “may not have all the answers in tomorrow’s briefing” – which is expected to take place before the review is made public.
This comes in the same week that Nine made its director of communications and PR, Victoria Buchan, redundant, with Buchan admitting in her farewell note to staff “this year has been more challenging than most”.
Stanton continued: “While we recognise the interest from some external stakeholders, we wanted to ensure our people hear directly from us about the Intersection report and have planned a briefing tomorrow for all employees.”
Stanton said the company would provide assistant to staff.
“We understand the completion of the review by Intersection may be a challenging time for some of our team members and have made arrangements for our Employee Assistance Program, Converge, to be on site at multiple locations for the next five business days for any confidential discussions or support you may require.”
Stanton finished by calling the review “a comprehensive process [which] represents an important step for us as we work to strengthen our workplace culture.”
The findings are expected to be issued online today.
