Nine hits a high note on Sunday night with The Voice
Channel Nine won the Sunday night TV ratings battle with just over two million people tuning in to watch singing contest The Voice.
The result helped Nine secured a 28.5 per cent share on its main channel compared with rival Seven which had a 25.3 per cent share.
The high ratings for Nine came at the expense of free-to-air station Ten which came in at 11.1 per cent and had only one show, Elementary, in the top ten, while public broadcaster the ABC had a 10.2 per cent share on its main channel.
Channel Ten’s results were reflected in audience for key shows like The Biggest Loser and Modern Family which each drew only 620,000 and 520,000 respectively, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTAM.

dont imagine the coverage sponsors would have been very happy to see 10 running their usual post 9am ads during the playoff instead of the sponsors ads when all of Australia was wathing !
“came at the expensive” = “came at the expense of”
