Nine promotes Big Brother with a twist
Nine has launched its first promotions for the new season of Big Brother.
The promo began to air during last night’s final of The Voice.
Designed to promote the fact that the new season of the reality show involves a twist on the format, the promo involves people including host Sonia Kruger dancing to Chubby Checkler’s The twist.
That looks awful.
Weak
Is the twist that everyone will be white?
I get it! It’s because there’s going to be a twist in it!
Now tell me, Nine, Why don’t the younger generations watch as much TV anymore?
ooooh it’s awkward.
Just when I thought Channel Nine promos couldn’t get any worse…..
I smell an integration to this theme with 11 secret herbs and spices…
That’s half the budget of the entire series blown creating the CGI for that ad, then? (and that’s not saying much for the budget of Big Brother)
If ever there was a case for a TV Station employing an ad agency this is it.
worst promo. ever. everrrrrrrrrr
Setting Broadcast Design back 40 years. Hideous.
FYI, there’s another version of that promo that replaces the Australian rules football scene with rugby league. (It doesn’t make the promo any less awful, though.)
The only problem with it is that it is advertising Big Brother…..I think its actually a great ad, love the footballers!
one of the reasons Australian TV will die a slow and painful death is that they are full of sh@#
A new low.
Channel Nine making actors take LSD and watch things twist around like that.
Even that small child was tripping balls.
At least this time WIN has moved A Current Affair to GEM. Viewers will never forgive WIN for last year’s disgraceful incident where they didn’t show the ACA episode where Bryce Courtney revealed he was suffering terminal cancer and had six months to live because WIN was showing Big Brother instead.
The twist is: Housemates are going to be completely different this time. They’ll be smarter and more interesting.
Just like last season’s promise.
The twist is that the people on the ads appear smarter and more interesting than the actual housemates will be. But then again – that’s not a twist. It happened last year too.
On a positive note for Nine, at least no one is claiming the idea is ripped off.
I confess Big Brother, I just committed thoughtcrime.
If this picks up any Promax awards, i will stab myself in the eye with a chicken twistie.
