Nine shades a close night in the TV ratings

Thursdays are becoming the closest night of the TV ratings week.  

Yesterday saw Nine take the chequered flag with a narrow victory over Seven. According to the preliminary OzTam data, Nine took a 28% share of peak time free to air viewing, while Seven’s slice was 27.3%. Ten took 21.8%, while the ABC was breathing down its neck with 18.1%. SBS was on 4.8%.

Last night’s viewing was dominated by news and current affairs shows.

Nine’s win means that Seven’s lead for the week has narrowed – a share of 28.6% compared to Nine’s 27.3%.
