Nine wins 13th ratings week and remains just ahead in ongoing yearly battle
The free-to-air primary channel and network which will win the overall ratings year is still unclear, as Nine edged ahead to win its 13th survey week.
The primary channel had a share of 22.5%, ahead of Seven’s 20.1%, while the network had 31.5%, ahead of Seven’s 29.8%.
Nine also had success in the key advertising demographics, with a 24.6% share in those aged 25 to 54, ahead of Seven’s 18.1%, and Ten’s 16.2%. With the addition of multi-channels, Nine Network had 34.6% in this demographic, ahead of Seven’s 27.4%, and Ten’s 22.4%.
In the slightly younger 16 to 39s, Nine had a 24.1% share for its primary channel, however Ten edged into second with 19.4%. Seven had 17.7%. On a network basis, Nine remained on top with 34.5% of the 16 to39s, while Seven Network took back second place with 26.3%, thanks largely to 7Mate’s 4.6% share. Network Ten had a 24.9% share of the 16 to 39s.
