Nine wins Sunday night despite a strong showing from Seven’s cricket

On the first Sunday of non-ratings period, Seven’s coverage of day three of the second test match between Australia and Pakistan dominated TV, but wasn’t enough to topple Nine in the network audience share.

Nine held 30.8%, while Seven sat on 28.1%. In the channels, Seven did sit slightly above on 18.9% to Nine’s 17.8%, but a 6.3% share for 9Go helped win the night.

The second session was the most-watched in the cricket, bringing in 770,000 metro viewers. Session one delivered 585,000 and session three 516,000. In national figures, two brought in 1.156m, one 860,000 and three 746,000.
