Nine’s Sunday edition of A Current Affair falls back
Nine’s new Sunday edition of A Current Affair remains an open question after its third outing lost nearly 400,000 viewers on last week’s.
A week ago the show, hosted by Today’s Karl Stefanovic, rated 1.237m viewers on the back of an interview with one of the protagonists in the schoolyard fight video which became one of the stories of the week. It was the fourth biggest show of the night.
The previous week – the first Sunday edition of A Current Affair – had rated 875,000, 14th for the night, according to metro ratings from OzTam.
And last night A Current Affair’s Sunday edition delivered was back to around that level, delivering 881,000 viewers, 12th for the night.
It will be interesting to see how the shambolic Tim Minchin concert on ABC2 went last night – between Twitter exploding and everybody phoning their friends telling them to tune in, audience numbers must have gone through the roof!
