Nova Entertainment has created a new role of music marketing director and appointed Claire Marshall to do the job.
Marshall has been the music director and assistant program director at Nova 93.7 Perth since December 2011 and has over 18 years experience in programming and on air.
As music marketing director Marshall will be responsible for Nova Entertainment’s music content development, and leveraging music artists and events into commercial marketing opportunities.
A radio station that plays music deciding to appoint a ‘music marketing director’ is kind of a tautology, no?
Do the artists get any say in this? Cash for comment? Sorry, I have no idea what is role is all about. Sounds like the so-called “agency strategists” are asleep at the wheel again if this is a required hire by the station.
