Nova’s personal touch
In the last three hours, I’ve had more than 50 emails – more than half of them press releases. The same thing will happen this afternoon. And tomorrow. And the day after that.
Which is why a) I feel constantly guilty about not replying to messages (3116 unread messages and counting) and b) As every other journo is in the same boat, it can be hard to get your press release considered.
So a big up to the team behind this effort on behalf of Nova to promote the Ryan, Monty & Wippa show.
It appears to be a handwritten note from Ryan Shelton (although when you look very closely it’s actually a photocopy), and also comes with a framed photo of the three of them.
Great idea for a press release, I love the note paper with the ‘just torn from the book’ edges. It’s a shame about the show though.. it’s one thing to get publicity and another to keep the ratings.
I thought all press releases come with a $50 note or free airline tickets? Isn’t that PR 101. Tim you must be missing out…
I think the ads could have been grittier – and that the hosts should have invited the listeners to participate in the show – I am sick of having media forced on me – where is the show that will give me my voice and not make me look like a crackpot? – ie. am radio talk shows
