Now You See Me tops Aussie box office on opening weekend

The Hopscotch/eOne distributed Now You See Me has topped the Australian box office on its opening weekend, taking home $3,981,757 across 265 screens.

The opening trumped Michael Bay’s Pain and Gain, starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which also premiered across the weekend on 201 screens but brought home just $1,758,006 for distributor Paramount.

I saw it at the weekend and gave it 3.5 out of 5, there is a bit of a lull in the pace halfway through but picks up again
