Andrew Winter Selling Houses Australia Astra mumbrella Selling Houses Australia presenter Andrew Winter was crowned the king of Australian pay TV at last night’s ASTRA Awards, picking up awards for Most Outstanding Performance by a Presenter and the audience-voted Favourite Personality.

Meanwhile, his Lifestyle Channel show was named Most Outstanding Lifestyle Program and the public voted it Favourite Program. To top an excellent night for the XYZ Networks-owned Lifestyle Channel, it was named Channel of the Year.

Another big winner for the night was also owned by XYZ Networks, with The Weather Channel picking up two awards – Most Outstanding Documentary for its follow-up on the Black Saturday fires and Most Outstanding News Program for its coverage of the disaster.

Meanwhile, Showcase dominated the acting categories. Tangle picked up best male and female actor awards for Ben Mendelsohn and Justine Clarke. And Satisfaction’s Camille Keenan won Best New Talent.

As well as an excellent night for the winners, it was an excellent event. The whole awards presentation was very sleek and stylish just like the MC, David Spears (even though he had been working straight for 24 hours!).

I love watching Selling Houses and The Lifestyle Channel. Good to see they are getting recognised for their great work.
