Odin’s Eye Entertainment acquires Chinese creature feature
An Australian based sales agent has acquired the international rights to a big budget, Chinese creature feature.
Odin’s Eye Entertainment has acquired the rights from Beijing’s Geliang Media’s Million Dollar Crocodile.
The film, about a crocodile running rampant in Beijing, is produced by Li Rui and directed by Li Sheng Lin and is currently in post-production.
Odin’s Eye Entertainment will represent the film at Cannes Marche du Film next week.
Enough with the obscure film news already!
To be a little more constructive, now that yr expanding into more film news it would be better for us if you could introduce channels — one for media news, one for advertising and one for film… Also it would be helpful if you could separate the RSS feeds.
One other thing — when are you building an m-site???
Hi Jimbo,
Thanks for the feedback. A couple of good thoughts, which we’ll work on. Ditto the m-site – we’re talking about that internally at the moment.
Cheers,
Tim – Mumbrella
Hi Tim
I’m torn on the new layout, as I’m from the other side of the fence. I enjoy most of the new Mumbrella content except for the constant TV ratings news and some of the more gossipy stuff. However one major benefit of the new layout is that it has weeded out most of the whinging filmmakers who almost had claimed squatters rights on the site. That’s a community service right there.

Wade (#4 above), agree with you on new layout but why ‘weed out’ what you think of as ‘whingeing’ and others see as robust debate. As with all such sites Encore is bound to attract both those interested in serious debate and those who really just want to whinge. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is not a good idea. No one is obliged to read the ‘whingeing’ but I do miss the robust debate.
Perhaps the answer is to have a Whingers Corner @ Encore online for those of us who like a good debate. Wade could steer well clear of it, though I doubt she would.
