‘Offensive’ and ‘explicit’ Wicked Campers van banned
Controversial motor rental company Wicked Campers has had another one of its vans banned by the advertising watchdog, this time for plastering an “explicit reference to a sexual act” on its van.
The van, which was registered in South Australia, said “I don’t always give a woman an orgasm, but when I do she usually spits it out”.

So now what happens? Oh yeah that’s right…nothing.
Unfortunately the van has not been “banned”. The Ad Standards Bureau has upheld a complaint against it but as usual Wicked Campers has just ignored it. Until the SA Govt introduces deregistration legislation like Qld and Tas, which has been effective in largely halting the problem in those States, WC will continue to register the vans in SA instead. Most other States and Territories have done at least something, or are in the process of tackling the problem in some way. Come on SA, close the remaining loophole.
But aren’t SA plates black & white? That plate is blue & white and looks like a Victorian plate. If that observation is correct I find that you are being harsh on the SA government.
Nice one Abi, I was absolutely HANGING to hear what Wicked had done this month.
Currently impatiently squirming in my seat, awaiting your bi-weekly Honey Birdette update…
If you don’t want to read about it then don’t open the article.
Pretty simple. Some of us want to read about it.
There’s no need to be so rude.
They report on this EVERY SINGLE MONTH.
If you don’t like my feedback, then dont comment.
Hey ‘All Grown’ Believe you got a flat tyre with no spare and nobody came to your rescue.
Sad.
You get to be offended
You get to be offended
Everyone gets to be offended
LOL who actually cares. Stop being so offended at everything and worry about yourself and the people around you. Joisus people, they are just words.
“Stick and stones may break my bones but…”
Actually, your lack of informed, critical thinking is even more offensive; that you think there’s no harm in this kind of ugly misogyny speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. And finally, if you think words have no impact, you’re in the wrong industry.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Wicked Campers consumers and target market don’t seem to care about the slogans.
