Office Christmas Party debuts at number three at weekend box office

Christmas comedy Office Christmas Party debuted in cinemas at weekend box with $2.108m in earnings, but was unable to unseat Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The film, which premiered on December 8, tells the story of a corporate CEO (Jennifer Aniston) who tries to close the local Chicago branch of the business run by her brother’s (T.J Miller).

In order to save the business Miller and his chief technical officer, played by Jason Bateman, host an epic office Christmas party.
