Officeworks unveils over $600K raised for local children’s education

Officeworks has wrapped up its annual fundraising appeal, supporting community groups focused on children’s learning and development.

The announcement:

From desktop additions and electronic appliances to life changing literacy support, the 8th annual Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal has drawn to a close with store teams around the country selecting local community organisations to support throughout the month of June.

Fostering inclusion, this year’s appeal helped create opportunities for Aussie kids to learn, create and grow.

Officeworks raised a total of $667,072 nationwide, with the QLD Milton store taking the cake as the top donation store, with a staggering $14,731, building on more than $5.9 million raised in previous years.

“The Make a Difference appeal enables our team members to rally behind local causes that have deep meaning within their local community and help raise much needed funds to improve a child’s development and learning,” Officeworks community manager Zoe Cairns said.

“It’s a rewarding initiative because the teams have direct input in selecting the organisations who benefit, allowing them to forge deeper ties with their local communities. And, as for our amazing customers, it shows that loose change can make a massive difference to a community group.”

“Our teams identified supporting children’s educational development as a priority, recognising that strong literacy and learning foundations are crucial for long-term achievement.”

Zephyr Education Inc came out on top with highest donation contributions, bringing in $66,167 throughout the month.
