Offspring finale rates well for Ten as Gruen makes a strong return

Offspring’s funeral episode took Ten to one of its biggest audience shares of the year last night, with the show rating 1.106m, the third most watched of the day after Seven News and Nine News.

Second in the 8.30pm timeslot was the return of ABC1’s Gruen Nation, which rated 1.028m, and was sixth for the night according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM.

Nine’s Arrow rated just 648,000 in the 8.30pm timeslot, 18th for the night.

Meanwhile, The Hamster Decides, The Chaser’s take on the election campaign, rated 867,000, winning its timeslot.

I asked a vet I met recently if he watches Bondi Vet. He screwed up his face and said he looks at cats arseholes all day – why would he watch it on tv. Then he asked me if watched Gruen.
