Ogilvy PR consults bloggers on rules of engagement

Public relations agency Ogilvy PR is asking local bloggers for their views on its rules of engagement.

The request comes ahead of the agency adopting its US head office’s blogger outreach code of ethics.

The code includes not paying for comment, and not contacting those who say on their blogs they don’t want to hear from PRs.

However, the code does allow for bloggers being paid to offer the agency advice on a project, so long as it is not linked to what the blogger then writes.
