Strategist Barry Mowszowski shifts from Starcom to OMD

Starcom’s creative strategy director Barry Mowszowski has been appointed as media agency OMD’s new strategy group head within its Sydney office.

The move comes two years after Mowszowski made the unusual move from a career in creative agencies to a media agency when he joined Starcom.

Prior to Starcom, Mowszowski was a senior creative strategist at Droga5 New York and then Ogilvy Sydney.

Alistair Henderson, OMD’s national strategy director said: “Barry brings fantastic experience to OMD and extends the diversity of OMD’s strategy offering. “His creative background bolsters our ability to plan brand solutions and lead communications thinking across brand, and messaging in particular.”

Mowszowski added: “I’m really proud to join the agency during its evolution into a creatively inspired media agency,” he said.
