One Day Cricket wins Nine 1.5m viewers and lion’s share of the audience
Australia’s dominance over England on the cricket pitch continues to translate to strong ratings for Nine with yesterday’s first One Day International taking the lion’s share of the audience, with more than 1.5m viewers watching the second session and 1.246m tuning in for the first, helping Nine to a 34.4 per cent of the audience share.
Channel Seven’s audience was less than half of that at 16.3 per cent, and Ten’s was lower still at 8.5 per cent, the preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam show.
It was a significant fall for Ten after the channel’s T20 Big Bash League helped it win 871,000 and 781,000 metro viewers on Friday and Saturday securing the second largest audience share on both night with 17.3 and 17.6 per cent.
