Ooh Media restructures, merging Junkee into its marketing and creative team
Ooh Media has restructured in the face of the challenges presented by COVID-19, moving its digital publishing operation Junkee into its creative and marketing department.
Junkee co-founder and CEO Neil Ackland will take on an expanded remit as part of the restructure, taking on the chief marketing function in addition to content and creative.
Ooh Media said Ackland’s elevation would help the company build the importance of its content and creative offering, and grow the out-of-home medium into an important public space media, while also delivering information and entertainment to consumers.
Congrats to Neil! I have no doubt with your drive, foresight and creativity we will see a stronger presence and innovation-led marketing focus for Ooh.
Smart move. Well done. Good luck.
I have been lucky enough to work with Neil as a colleague, and as a client and he’s equal parts smart, creative and tenacious. Well done Neil and BC and everyone at ooh!
Congratulations Neil, class operator and good person, very well deserved. Not mentioned here but also in that category is Nick Vile, the brilliant GM of the NZ operation and one of the best humans you’ll meet, who has been appointed to the ELT as part of this; congrats mate.
