We’re sad to share the news that Paige Breen, a recruiter well known within the digital media industry and a friend of the Mumbrella team, passed away on Sunday.

Paige was a founder of Respect Search & Selection.

She occasionally wrote guest postings for Mumbrella and was also a prolific writer on the Respect blog. She tweeted as @WebPaigeRespect.

We recently had the pleasure of sharing a stand with Paige and the Respect team at Adtech Sydney.

Tim Burrowes is the publisher of Mumbrella and Unmade. He co-founded Mumbrella in 2008 and sister title Unmade in 2021. He's worked in the UK, Middle East, Asia & Australia and has specialised in writing about the communications world for the last 25 years. He wrote the book Media Unmade, published in 2021, and became the presenter of MediaLand on ABC Radio National in 2025.

What can we say? Such a loss.
Our industry has just lost a wonderful person. My team had the pleasure of working with Paige over several years. Her intellect, humor and creativity will be dearly missed by all.
Our thoughts go out to family, friends and her long time business partner Katie.
