Pandora radio targets older demographic
The managing director of Pandora Radio Jane Huxley says the streaming radio service is aiming at the older demographic in its Australian audience.
The former publisher of Fairfax Digital said the online music site, which recently reached the 200 million user milestone in the US, was seeing a strong take up in users over the age of 60.
“One thing that is really interesting is the number of people in the 60+ category,” said Huxley.
“I get emails from people in their 70s… and the emails are like I’m listening to such and such — insert band from the 1940s — and this was the soundtrack of my youth. It’s fun doing customer service where almost without exception the customer service all of the emails make me smile.”
Love Pandora. Great mix of familiarity and new finds.
But Dang, I’m in my 30’s not 70.
I would love it if there were two Rick “Gleaves” I hire them both. …. as such there is only one Rick Gleave.
Sorted Jane.

Sounds like it could be an issue with your IP address.
