Paris terror raids help news top night while 638,000 tune for Celebrity Apprentice finale

The unfolding terror raids in Paris kept news top of the TV ratings last night, with ABC News 24 nearly doubling its audience share from last week.

Outside of news The Block was the most-watched show and topped the demographics, and alongside the finale of Celebrity Apprentice, which saw Sophie Monk named the winner, helped Nine secure a win for total audience share for the night.

Monk’s victory was watched by 638,000 viewers, just below the 653,000 people who watched the finale of the show two years ago, but up on the 566,000 who watched the debut of this season.Seven also debuted a new show Aussie Barbecue Heroes which managed 682,000 at 7.30pm, but could not match The Block’s 922,000 in the same timeslot.
