Paul Murray joins 2UE as ‘next generation’ of talk radio

PAUL MURRAY Sky newsJust a day after being signed to a three year TV deal with Sky News, Paul Murray has switched his radio allegiances from Austereo’s Triple M to Fairfax Media’s Sydney talk station 2UE.

The move has been described by 2UE’s GM Tim McDermott as part of a coming “generational” change for the talk radio format.

An announcement from Triple M said: “Paul Murray is making the move from Triple M Sydney across the bridge to 2UE after five years with Austereo. Paul came to Triple M as an ACRA award winner for radio journalism, and leaves the station with a far sharper wit and passion for rock.”

Murray presents Triple M’s Sydney drivetime show with Rachel Corbett from Tuesday to Thursday. His last show will be in a fortnight’s time.
