Pepsi Max calls in Snoop Dogg for the Coke display war
It’s a brave brand that heavily features a rival, although Coke and Pepsi have something of a history.
The oneupmanship may now have reached its zenith with this effort featuring Snoop Dogg though.
Coke has, of course, featured in Pepsi ads for 15 years:
Snoop will do anything for a check – witness that appalling Katy Perry collab.
But the strategy is right from a comms POV.
But comms strategy don’t mean squat versus distribution (Pepsi’s eternal challenge in this market).
Tom- Snoop stooped lower than Katy Perry more recently. Collaborating with Jessica Mauboy in her new song “get em girls” is almost as bad holding up a cardboard sign reading “will drop pants for a $1”
So I suppose neither of you would stoop so low as to collaberate with Katy Perry or Jessica Mauboy for a 7-figure cheque?
