“During his term as CEO, Peter steered the Ten television business to financial stability and successfully repositioned it, forging its distinct reputation as a bold and innovative programmer.”

“As a Director, he has provided valuable governance and guidance for the Company, from its 1998 stock exchange listing and throughout its continued development as a leading Australian media business.”

“On behalf of Ten, I thank Peter sincerely for his role in transforming the business over almost 20 years as an executive and as a Board member and, more recently, for his commitment to continuing on as a Director during the recent period of Board and management transition,” Mr Long said.

Mr Viner previously held senior executive positions with Canwest Global Communications Corp., in a career spanning more than 25 years with the Canadian media group.
