Grant Denyer urges kids to fundraise with seeds not chocolate in new Yates campaign

Ten personality Grant Denyer is fronting a new campaign for Yates Gardening, where he urges schools and clubs to abandon the traditional chocolate fundraiser in favour of using seeds for flowers, herbs and vegetables.

The new ‘Raise a Patch’ campaign sees ‘Plant’ Denyer team up with puppet Cedric the Gnome.

“Whenever schools and clubs have to fundraise money for projects… they rely on students selling bags of chocolate and sweets,” said Denyer. “In this day and age where too much sugar consumption is unhealthy kids shouldn’t sell lollies.”
