Podcast downloads stay high at 49.9m following a month of lockdowns

Podcast downloads in the month of June took a very slight dip to 49.9 million, following last months record high of 52.2 million, as reported by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.

There was significant movement at the top end of the show rankings, as only Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime podcast holding on to top spot and ARN/iHeartMedia’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show in fourth spot, following their record breaking recent radio survey, remained in the same spot as last month.

Elsewhere in the top ten, SCA/LiSTNR’s Hamish & Andy show rose into the second spot, switching places with ARN/iHeartMedia’s Stuff You Should Know dropping to third. ARN/iHeartMedia’s Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne took the fifth spot, giving the ARN/iHeartPodcast Network Australia four of the five top spots. Schwartz Media’s 7am podcast dropped down to seventh.
