Poor showing for Australia and New Zealand at Webby Awards

Australia and New Zealand failed to win big at this year’s Webby Awards, with AIM Proximity taking the telecommunications category for its Yellow Pages work.

The only other obvious winner was Profero Sydney, which was named the People’s Voice Winner in the interactive advertising, rich media category for its NAPCAN Cyber Bullying Affects Real Lives campaign.

(Update: The lengthy Webby winners list is not labelled by country so it is possible to overlook local wins – see the comments thread for the addition of 99 Designs)

The win for AIM Proximity was for The Yellow Treehouse, with the agency answering the brief to prove that any job can be done using the Yellow Pages.
