Podcast platform Whooshkaa hires Ensemble’s Corey Layton to create brand content
Australian podcast platform Whooshkaa is setting its sights on the branded content space and has appointed former Ensemble ideas director Corey Layton to spearhead the push, Mumbrella can reveal.
Layton spent just over two years with IPG Mediabrands-owned Ensemble, and is the latest senior executive to leave the company as new CEO Melissa Fein looks to stamp her vision on the brand.
Prior to Ensemble, Layton had a long career in radio, beginning as an announcer on The Captain Turntable Show, he was the producer for Hughesy, Kate & Dave’s breakfast show on Nova Melbourne and had four years with Southern Cross Austereo as a producer for Fifi Box’s show, then as response and activation director.
Congrats Corey. Sounds like a great role and I look forward to following your progress.
Ensemble – Oh Dear! I have never seen an agency fall a part so quickly! Is there anyone actually left at Ensemble from the initial team? Has the new Ensemble actually won any new clients of late? Must be time to convert.
Congratulations Corey, a great opportunity for you and for the entire industry to have someone with your radio and content marketing experience producing podcasts. Can’t wait to hear your first one!
