PPR appoints Ron Christianson

McDonald’s Ron Christianson has been drafted into the role of  senior counsel at Professional Public Relations.   The announcement:

Professional Public Relations (PPR) has appointed Ron Christianson as Senior Counsel in the Marcomms division, bringing with him more than 10 years of global experience in corporate communications, media relations, marketing communications, CSR and crisis and issues management.

 Prior to moving to Australia to join PPR last month, Ron spent eight years with McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada. As Director of External Communications, Ron led a team of corporate and agency communications professionals across the country and closely collaborated with numerous departments, including marketing, to deliver a wide variety of proactive and reactive communications and media relations initiatives. These programs were successful in helping drive the McDonald’s business in Canada by contributing to significant sales results, guest count increases and improved consumer Brand Trust.

 Ron will be based in PPR’s Sydney office and will work closely with Marcomms Practice Director Peter O’Sullivan, playing a strategic role across the businesses growing list of branch network and retail clients. Ron will also work in a senior capacity on PPR’s various McDonald’s projects and retained accounts including working with the NSW/ACT retail marketing teams and nationally on McHappy Day.
