Puberty Blues finishes with 707,000

Ten’s Puberty Blues final episode gave the network its highest rating show for the day.

The 70s drama, produced by Southern Star and directed by Glendyn Ivin, rated 707,000 and 15th in total viewers, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.

The show when it premiered on August 15, rated just under 1m, with 925,000.In the key advertising demographic of 16-39, the retro series was second in total viewers and first in its 8.30pm time slot. In 18-49, the show was third overall, behind Big Brother which was first and Gruen Planet, which also went out at 8.30pm.

In 25-54, Puberty Blues was fifth overall behind Big Brother in top spot, and Gruen Planet second as well as Seven’s 8.30pm hour of fly-on-the-wall reality, including new series Surveillance Oz in fourth spot and returning series Highway Patrol in fifth.
