Qantas head of brand and advertising Kent Heffernan departs

kent heffernanQantas’ head of brand and advertising Kent Heffernan has left the organisation after three years, and will not be replaced, Mumbrella can reveal.

His sudden departure on Friday follows that of Qantas’ executive manager of marketing Lewis Pullen who left his job in May, with corporate affairs chief Olivia Wirth taking responsibility for the airline marketing function as well.

Heffernan joined Qantas in June 2010 in a newly created head of brand role, months after Pullen joined in February of that year.

He had previously held the top marketing role of brand and advertising director at Telstra’s BigPond, a position he had held since 2008.
