Queensland contemplates crackdown on junk food advertising on kids’ TV

The Queensland government is considering a crackdown on the advertising of junk food during children’s TV programming.

According to today’s Courier Mail in Brisbane, Queensland would be the first state to put such a restriction in place. The newspaper reports that Queensland Health is putting together a report on the issue, with the intention of making it one of the first items of business for premier Anna Bligh’s cabinet when it meets next month.
