Quickflix pivots focus to Hollywood blockbusters as it emerges from administration
Streaming service Quickflix is pivoting its offering to new Hollywood movies as it relaunches its streaming and DVD services this week.
The company – which was operating at a deficit of more than $15m when directors called in the administrators on April 30 – is now out of voluntary administration following its acquisition by US-based Karma Media Holdings.
Quickflix will now focus on bringing the newest Hollywood movies to Australian fans with Quickflix Access and Quickflix Red Carpet programs launching in sync with the release of Finding Dory which, the company claims, it will offer before any other service.
Meh!
Bit rich of Quickflix to claim they will be the first service to offer Finding Dory, considering it has been on TVOD services such as iTunes, Google Play, and Dendy Direct for weeks now.
Oh here’s an idea, Presto fails, lets fill the gap left in the market… but we’ll do it much better by offering DVD’s as well! Serious Quickflix!!!
