Quickflix streams Sony Australia

Quickflix and Sony Australia have signed a deal to provide a subscription movies streaming service via Sony’s internet connected consumer devices such as Sony Bravia internet-connected televisions, any television connected to SVIB-capable Blu-ray players and home theatres, as well as VAIO computers in Australia.

The announcement follows last week’s launch of Sony’s Video On Demand powered by Qriocity, Quickflix will be the first library in that selection.

As for pricing, Quickflix’s newly appointed CEO Chris Taylor told Encore, “We’re still in discussions at the moment but will have more to say on pricing and packaging shortly. Obviously today marks our first visibility into the digital world and we’re delighted to do it with Sony.”
