Mental health awareness organisation R U OK? has launched its new campaign addressing suicide prevention amongst Indigenous Australians.

The campaign consists of TVCs, long-form videos, radio spots and posters featuring people discussing their experiences and asking one another “Are you okay?”

The campaign features Joe Williams, a Wiradjuri, first nations Aboriginal man who played in the National Rugby League for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs. Williams is a member of R U OK’s Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Advisory Group and has suffered from suicidal ideation and bi-polar disorder for the majority of his life.
