RACQ marketing boss John Devaney departs in middle of creative pitch
Royal Automobile Club of Queensland’s marketing and communications head John Devaney has departed the organisation after seven years in the middle of a creative pitch.
Mumbrella understands incumbent SapientNitro is fighting it out with Clemenger BBDO Brisbane and JuniorCru on the pitch, which is now delayed following Devaney’s sudden departure.
An RACQ spokesperson confirmed Devaney’s departure, with the organisation “currently looking to employ a new executive manager marketing”.
“RACQ has delayed its review of its preferred advertising agency until the new EM Marketing is on board,” the spokesperson said.
Wow – 7 years in the middle of a creative pitch?
That’s a long time to make a decision!
