Sydney: SmoothFM overtakes KiisFM as Sydney’s most popular FM station

SmoothFM has leapfrogged KiisFM to be the most popular FM radio station in Sydney after climbing a massive 1.4 points to an audience share of 9.1%, in the latest GfK radio survey.

In a bumper survey for Nova Entertainment Smooth’s sister station Nova 96.9 also enjoyed a large audience jump, up one point to 8.1% and joint second with Kiis in the FM market in the city.

Any reason why your graph shows ABC FM rather than the ABC local stations which rate much better?

Because you are looking at the FM Split, if you tab to AM on top, you get the AM trends.

Arguably Kiis Melbourne Breakfast is in a worst spot than 2day Breakfast, their ratings are as bad but their talent isn’t as good / likeable. They’ll be the first breakfast show axed this year. Bad luck for Matt Tilley, he’s a nice guy.
