Apology email: Richard Lindley

The boss of digital publishing service Realview has apologised after the company sent out a marketing email to customers with the subject line ‘mobile explodes killing publisher’.

The original email was sent out on the morning of November 20, in a week where headlines have been dominated by the deadly terror attacks in Paris which have so far claimed the lives of 130 people, and triggered threats of more attacks across the world.

It was followed by 20-hours later by a note from Sydney-based CEO Richard Lindley who wrote: “I would like to apologise for the last email that was sent out, on reflection it was in poor taste given the ongonig [sic] events around the world.
