Recipe to Riches drops to 481,000 as X Factor swoops in
Ten’s Woolworths-backed food marketing show Recipe to Riches dropped to 481,000 viewers last night, marking its poorest ratings of the series with nearly three times as many viewers watching The X Factor on Channel Seven.
The fifth episode of the 12-part series featuring Droga5’s David “Nobby” Nobay was 21st for the night and 14th in people 25-54, Ten’s target demographic.
Last night the show focused on desserts and was won by Vicki Cameron-Smith, whose “Sweet Billie’s” macaroons are available for sale in Woolworths today.
Would it get axed if it was not a fully funded branded content series by Woolies?
It’s a good show. It’s a shame it’s not rating well.
I haven’t watched it. Who is ahead in the ratings this year
With a trial/repeat performance like this, surely Woolies should delist the show?
Its actually a good show, I rate it.
I’ve been watching it..I think it’s just getting a bit boring as the format is pretty much the same every week but with a different food type to win.
It’s been amazing to see in stores which winning items are selling and not selling. The BBQ hot sauce I was unable to find in any store..sold like hot cakes (or sauce). The Samosas were great (very flavoursome and spicy). The Chili was a bit watery but Corn Chips were nice. The Bacon and Rice Croquettes broke apart too easy when baked.
I think this is a once off type show – if they made another season of this it would not do well.
