Reddit boosts ad capabilities for Aussie marketers

Reddit is boosting its efforts to reach “high-intent communities” and drive conversions through new upgrades to its Dynamic Product Ads.

The announcement:

To help retailers and ecommerce businesses reach shoppers more easily and effectively, Reddit is launching several new shopping tools to enhance the Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) experience on Reddit:

Collection Ads – Collection Ads enable advertisers to lead with a lifestyle hero image paired with shoppable product tiles in a single DPA carousel, creating a bridge between discovery and purchase.

Reddit-unique Community and Deal overlays (in testing) – Community overlays indicate products that are already resonating on Reddit, like “Redditors’ Top Pick,” while Deal overlays automatically call out discounts and sale pricing–surfacing the insights shoppers are looking for without extra lift from advertisers.

Shopify on Reddit integration (in alpha) – This new integration simplifies catalogue and pixel setup and makes onboarding more seamless for new DPA advertisers. Businesses on Shopify can automatically identify which products to show in their ads to the right user, in the right context.

Advertiser success: Reddit DPAs have driven significantly lower-funnel performance for brands, including Liquid I.V., which saw a 40% improvement in performance from DPAs compared to its other conversion campaigns. Early advertisers following Reddit best practices are also seeing an +8% lift in ROAS with Collection Ads.

Zooming out: More purchase journeys are happening on Reddit than ever before. In the last year, we saw a 40% year-over-year increase in the number of high-intent shopping conversations. Moreover, Fospha’s The State of Retail Commerce 2026 study revealed that businesses that scaled their investment in Reddit saw cost per purchase improve by 34%.
