Dr Mumbo would have assumed that seasoned telly appearer Todd Sampson would be a safe pair of hands on the radio.
But the ex-adman’s drivetime appearance on the nationally syndicated Hamish & Andy show was somewhat disastrous on Friday, with Sampson dropping the F-bomb, as host Hamish Blake scrambled to stop him.

Things began to go astray when the former boss of Leo Burnett began to tell an anecdote about his family bullying a fellow air passenger to vacate her seat for them.
Somewhat disastrous? I think that’s melodramatic.

I don’t think the issue is that Sampson dropped the f bomb on the radio; it’s that he was so proud of his nine year old daughter for abusing a woman passenger who refused to move from the seat she’d already settled in. If the shoe was on the other foot …
