Regional broadcaster Win pulls out of Free TV

WIN Regional TV broadcaster Win Corp has pulled out of television lobby group Free TV Australia.

The move makes Win, owned by media mogul Bruce Gordon, the only TV network not to be a member of the industry body.

Julie Flynn CEO of Free TV said: “It is disappointing that WIN has decided to withdraw from the organisation but Free TV on behalf of the industry so that we can continue to provide quality services to all Australians for free.”

Prime Media and SBS have withdrawn from sister group Freeview which provides the free-to-air  broadcasters with a consistent marketing platform and works on initiatives such as HbbTV platform Freeview Plus.
