Reid shifts from editorial to corporate affairs as News Corp restructures editorial reporting lines
Australia’s largest newspaper publisher News Corp Australia has restructured its editorial reporting lines, with its metropolitan newspaper editors now reporting to CEO Peter Tonagh and chairman Michael Miller.
In the shakeup, veteran News Corp executive Campbell Reid has lost editorial responsibility and has instead been moved to the position of director of corporate affairs and content innovation.
Under the changes Reid will now lead the company’s communications with government, business, the public and staff, replacing Adam Suckling who resigned in June to take on the CEO role at The Copyright Agency.

I thought the editorial was corporate affairs at news…?
Why is everything being done/said jointly by Tonagh and Miller and why is Reid reporting to both? Can’t they decide who is in charge of News Corp Australia? Sounds like fun and games…
This isn’t written very well. Does Reid have a first name??? Don’t you think that should be used in either the first or second paragraph?
Hi Copyboy,
Thanks for flagging the error. Campbell’s first name has been added.
Cheers
Nic – Mumbrella.
Michael Miller is the smartest guy in Australian media; I wonder what’s next …
I love the tendency in media to talk about “the smartest”. Because the evidence suggests that our media execs club is not Mensa.
For example; it turns out that content is indeed King. Yet none of them has made a strategy of it. On the contrary they either never made much (tv) or they’ve surrendered any real advantage in content value through witless management (print).
