Reversal of fortunes for SCA and SWM on today’s Unmade Index

The two merging stocks of Southern Cross Austereo and Seven West Media saw their fortunes move in opposite directions on Monday. SCA’s share price fell by 3.7% while SWM’s improved by exactly the same amount.

The current combined market capitalisation of the two companies is $397.3m. When the pair first announced their merger two months ago, their total value was $417m.

Elsewhere on the Unmade Index, Vinyl Group, publisher of titles including Variety Australia, Rolling Stone Australia and Mediaweek, lost 2.3%.
